4. How to Enter

A. Golden Can Entry

During the Contest Period, approximately 13,000 specially marked Islander Lager 8-packs will be distributed to participating private liquor retailers in British Columbia. A total of 15 Golden Cans will be randomly placed in those 8-packs.

If an eligible entrant finds a Golden Can, the entrant must submit a valid Golden Can claim by emailing info@vibrewing.com an, including your unique PIN, a clear photo of the Golden Can, your full name, email address, mailing address, confirmation of age and BC residency, and any other information reasonably required by the Sponsor.

Each eligible and verified Golden Can claimant will receive one Golden Can Finder Reward and one entry into the applicable lodge-specific Grand Prize Draw. Golden Cans, PINs, and claim codes are subject to verification by the Sponsor. A Golden Can, PIN, or claim code has no cash value.

B. Digital No-Purchase Entry

To enter a Grand Prize Draw without purchase, visit www.vibrewing.com/8-packs-with-a-purpose, during the Contest Period and complete the digital no-purchase entry form.

The digital entry form must require the entrant to provide a valid email address, confirm that the entrant is a British Columbia resident and 19 years of age or older, select one lodge-specific Grand Prize Draw, accept these Official Rules, and submit a short original handwritten response to the prompt: “In 300 words, tell us what you love about BC's coast and fishing culture.”

The written response will not be judged and will not affect the entrant's chances of winning. It is used only as part of the no-purchase entry process and to help confirm that the entry was submitted by an eligible individual.

Each eligible digital no-purchase entry will receive one entry into the selected lodge-specific Grand Prize Draw. Limit: one digital no-purchase entry per person and per email address during the Contest Period.

5. Prizes

A. Golden Can Finder Rewards

There are 15 Golden Can Finder Rewards available. Each Golden Can Finder Reward consists of one $100 Skipper Otto voucher, subject to Skipper Otto's terms, conditions, availability, and redemption rules.

Each eligible and verified Golden Can claimant will receive one Golden Can Finder Reward. Limit: one Golden Can Finder Reward per verified Golden Can.

Skipper Otto vouchers are not redeemable for liquor, alcohol products, or cash. Vouchers are non-transferable except at the Sponsor's discretion and must be accepted as awarded. The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a reward of equal or greater value if a Skipper Otto voucher becomes unavailable for any reason.

B. Grand Prizes

There are 3 Grand Prizes available, with one Grand Prize available for each participating lodge-specific Grand Prize Draw.

Each Grand Prize consists of a 2027 fishing trip for two at one of the participating lodge partners: Tofino Resort + Marina, Nootka Marine Adventures, or Dent Island Lodge.

Each Grand Prize is expected to include  two (2) nights' accommodation and one full day of guided fishing for two. The total approximate retail value of all prizes combined is $22,000 CAD.

Grand Prize travel must be completed during the 2027 season on dates approved by the applicable lodge partner and the Sponsor. Blackout dates, weather, safety requirements, travel logistics, guide availability, lodge rules, and other restrictions may apply.

Unless expressly stated by the Sponsor in the final published rules, transportation to and from the lodge, airfare, ferry, ground transportation, meals outside the stated package, gratuities, alcoholic beverages, fishing licenses, taxes, insurance, incidental expenses, and all other expenses are the responsibility of the winner and guest.

The winner and guest must both be 19 years of age or older and must comply with all applicable laws, lodge rules, safety requirements, and responsible alcohol consumption guidelines. No Grand Prize includes liquor or any gift card redeemable for liquor.

6. Odds of Winning

The odds of finding a Golden Can at the time of packaging are 15 in 13,000 overall, and 3 in 13,000 for each lodge-specific Golden Can allocation, subject to the actual distribution and sale of specially marked 8-packs.

The odds of winning a Grand Prize depend on the total number of eligible Golden Can claims and eligible digital no-purchase entries received for the applicable lodge-specific Grand Prize Draw. Digital no-purchase entries will increase the total number of entries and will affect the odds of winning a Grand Prize.

A purchase does not increase the odds of winning a Grand Prize.

7. Draw and Winner Selection

On or about November 1, 2026, one (1) winner will be randomly selected for each lodge-specific prize draw from all eligible entries received (including both Golden Can and No Purchase Necessary entries for each lodge).
Selected entrants will be contacted by email using the information provided at the time of entry. If a selected entrant does not respond within seven (7) days of notification, or fails to meet any of the contest conditions, an alternate entrant may be selected at the Sponsor’s discretion.

8. Skill-Testing Question

Before being declared a winner, each selected entrant must correctly answer, without mechanical or other assistance, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question administered by or on behalf of the Sponsor.

9. Claiming and Awarding Prizes

To claim a Golden Can Finder Reward, an entrant must submit a complete and valid Golden Can claim by the deadline stated in these Official Rules and comply with all verification requirements.

To receive a Grand Prize, a selected entrant must confirm eligibility, correctly answer the skill-testing question, and complete and return any required declaration, release, liability waiver, publicity release, guest release, and travel documents within the time required by the Sponsor.

Prizes must be accepted as awarded and are not transferable, assignable, or redeemable for cash except at the Sponsor's discretion. The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute any prize or prize component with a prize or component of equal or greater value if the advertised prize or component becomes unavailable for any reason.

10. Responsible Alcohol Marketing and Prize Use

The Contest is intended only for adults who are 19 years of age or older. Contest advertising, social media, point-of-sale materials, and prize communications must not encourage irresponsible consumption, depict intoxication, associate liquor with driving, boating, fishing activity, or any other activity requiring skill, care, or mental alertness, or suggest that alcohol is necessary to enjoy the prize, the outdoors, fishing, social occasions, or personal success.

Contest materials should direct entrants to the Official Rules, include age-gating where appropriate, and clearly state that no purchase is necessary to enter the Grand Prize Draws.

11. General Conditions

The Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, stolen, damaged, illegible, incomplete, misdirected, delayed, garbled, or undeliverable entries, prize claims, emails, online submissions, PINs, claim codes, or communications, or for any technical, network, computer, software, hardware, human, printing, production, distribution, or other error that may occur in connection with the Contest.

The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, modify, or terminate the Contest, in whole or in part, if fraud, technical failures, supply disruption, retailer disruption, regulatory requirements, or any other factor beyond the Sponsor's reasonable control impairs the integrity, fairness, or proper operation of the Contest.

The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any person who tampers with the entry or claim process, submits false or misleading information, attempts to obtain more entries or rewards than permitted, violates these Official Rules, or acts in a disruptive, abusive, unlawful, or unsportsmanlike manner.

Participation in fishing and travel activities may involve inherent risks. Winners and guests may be required to sign additional releases, waivers, or assumption-of-risk documents required by the Sponsor or applicable lodge partner before participating in any Grand Prize trip.

13. Travel & Force Majeure:

The Sponsor and prize partners are not responsible for delays, cancellations, interruptions, lodge closures, transportation disruptions, wildfires, smoke events, severe weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, or other circumstances beyond their reasonable control that may affect prize fulfillment.

If the Grand Prize or any portion of it cannot be fulfilled as originally described, the Sponsor reserves the right to reschedule the prize, substitute a participating lodge or prize component, or provide an alternate prize or prize component of equal or greater approximate retail value, where reasonably practicable.
